Though "Practice makes Perfect"to a certain extent, I believe in "Kai manam/Pakkuvam" when it comes to cooking. Its a talent. How much ever recipes we get to watch in Television, books and web, we need to have a zeal and Art of Cooking.
.
So Guys, feel proud of your wife(s) if she prepares mouth watering dishes. For the rest, no need to regret as food is just part of life. We should "Eat to Live" and not "Live to Eat".
.
Well if you ask me if I'am a good cook, I would have to rate myself equivalent to Debra in "Everybody loves Raymond".She is "so called" good at making Lemon Chicken and I can say I'am good at making Rasam. Hey, but my Mother-in-Law is too sweet to comment on my cooking unlike Marie:-))
.
For those who do not watch "Everybody Loves Raymond", here is the story to describe about my cooking skills.
My friends used to call us and tell that they would love to come home for dinner. Poor me with full enthusiasm,at the back of my mind start to think about menu and all. They ask us what we would like to have for dinner so that they can get us "To go".It seems they do not want to get into trouble by eating what I prepare.Needless to say, I'am not a great cook.
.
After 2 years of experience in cooking I realised that a best recipe is the one that does not require the "Art of cooking" but at the same time very delicious.
Here is one such recipe which I got to know from one of my acquaintances whom we affectionately call as "Chief Kokku", I mean Chief Cook.
.
Pineapple Pudding:
.
Condensed Milk - 8 Oz
Sour Cream - 8 Oz
Diced Pineapple - One small tin
Mix condensed milk and Sour cream together thoroughly in a bowl and add the diced Pineapple.
Refrigerate for around 3-4 hours.
.
Very simple,Yummy and no tension of messing around. Many of my friends in the neighbourhood like this recipe and so do I.
